Prepare for the next technology to change communication

For more than 25 years, Shel Holtz has introduced communicators to the next big technology that will change the way organizations communicate. Over the years, he has helped World Conference attendees prepare for intranets, mobile and visual communication, content marketing, content curation, social media, live-streaming video, and more.

If Shel were presenting this session at the time the proposal was due—eight months before the conference—his topic would be blockchain, which will disrupt business and communication even more than the internet has. Eight months out, though, is far too early to know the technology that will have most recently appeared on the horizon. (In February 2007, who knew Twitter would be introduced in March?) You can be sure the session will be eye-opening, enlightening, and compelling, introducing you to a technology about which you may not have heard with practical advice about how to address it and apply it to your work for your clients or organization.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • Why communicators must understand this technology.
  • How this newest innovation will affect business and communication.
  • How communicators can use this technology strategically rather than chase the latest shiny object.
  • Early examples of how communicators or marketers have taken advantage of the technology.
