He previously lead employee communication for the Midwest Area at Verizon, where events and experiential marketing played a huge role in employee engagement. Michael has over 20 years experience in marketing, brand, employee communication, experiential events and film. He has also received awards for the past six years consecutively for his work.

Presenter / Shel Holtz / California, U.S., founded Holtz Communication + Technology in 1996 after 20 years with Fortune 500 companies and global consulting firms. He specializes in strategic communication with an emphasis on internal comms and the use of digital and social media for enhancing employee communication. Holtz is a prolific blogger, a pioneer podcaster, and author of six communication books. He is a Fellow of IABC, the Society for New Communication Research, and The Mayo Clinic Social Media Network.

He is a former VP at Ogilvy PR Worldwide and press secretary to the Ohio Attorney General, and has written hundreds of speeches for CEOs and other executives. He is also a Second City-trained actor who has appeared in more than 150 stage, commercial and film productions in the past decade. Rob’s most recent book is 11 Deadly Presentation Sins, on which this presentation is based.
