World Conference returns to New Orleans: Rise to innovate, meet challenges and make a difference
As we roll out an exciting, all-new program, our theme of “Rise: Innovating Global Communication,” speaks to what we believe about the profession and what we honor in our beautiful venue. When this event was last held in New Orleans nearly 10 years ago, IABC was among the first to commit to holding a major conference in a city still recovering from the horrors of natural disaster. Supporting the resilience of this unique community, attendees went a step further by joining Habitat for Humanity to build new homes for residents—drawing upon a capacity for generosity that so many communication professionals share.
And now we are back. Like New Orleans and its stunning transformation, the communication profession is on the rise like never before. As the world changes at an astonishing rate, communicators are at the forefront of that revolution—serving as a unifier within their organizations, leveraging great communication to create lasting results, and making organizations stronger by helping them to become better citizens of a global business community.
As a profession, we rise to innovate, meet challenges and make a difference.
