Dine Around Vancouver

Join Dine Around Vancouver with your fellow communicators at the IABC World Conference: Monday evening, 10 June 2019

As a major port city, Vancouver is famous for its variety of cuisines and incredible local ingredients, especially seafood. In more recent years, our city has become a hot bed for the craft brewing industry creating a whole new genre of funky spaces to eat, drink and socialize. We also boast some of the most amazing dining views you will ever see!

What is Dine Around?

Dine Around is one of the best networking opportunities at the IABC World Conference. We book tables for small groups and you decide which restaurant suits you best—you can bring friends and colleagues with you, but you’ll also meet new people with similar taste. We have selected a variety of restaurants with different cuisines and different price points, carefully curated by our local foodies. We’ll assign a local host to make sure all the logistics go smoothly, including getting you there. And you do the rest—eat, drink, and share your stories!

When is Dine Around?

Day: Monday evening, 10 June, 2019

Departure times will vary depending on the restaurant. Refer to the individual registration page for each restaurant for more details.

Meeting place: Hyatt Regency, Melville Street entrance lobby (unless otherwise indicated in the list below)

How do we pay for Dine Around?

Each diner is responsible for their own check. We have arranged for separate checks with each restaurant. If you choose to split a menu item, please designate whose check it should be applied to and make your own arrangements to reimburse. Some restaurants will offer a fixed menu for a fixed price—please advise your server of any dietary restrictions when you arrive.

Please note that most restaurants will automatically add a group gratuity rate of 15-18 percent. All price ranges and set menu prices are in Canadian dollars; additional taxes will apply.

Where is Dine Around?

Many of the restaurants are within a short walk of the conference hotels. Others will require a short taxi ride which you will be expected to cost share with your fellow diners. Sorry, there is no Uber in Vancouver. Your local host will help arrange for transportation.

Space is limited. Click on the restaurant names below for more details and to save your space. If you change your mind, please cancel your booking so someone else can take your place.

Visit the Hospitality Desk and ask for one of our Dine Around volunteers.
