Presenter / Jon Hammond / United Kingdom had an initial ambition to be an auctioneer and so trained as a surveyor; however the opportunity arose to be a DJ in Europe. It was then a natural progression to move into broadcasting, firstly in commercial radio then for many years with the BBC. He now advises organizations and their leaders on effective ways to connect internally and externally and how to utilize the psychology of audience interaction. Despite being a “shy person in a noisy body,” Hammond has appeared in front of audiences all over the world from intimate masterclasses to over 50,000! His book Pond Life – creating the ripple effect in everything you do and say is published by Capstone. Away from work, with a firm belief in “giving back” he is deputy lieutenant for West Yorkshire (representing HM the Queen), governor York St John University, vice president of Northern Ballet and proud father and grandfather.
