Your invitation to career counseling with the best in the profession
On behalf of the IABC Fellows, I’d like to invite you to be part of an intimate, one-of-a-kind, IABC World Conference pre-event on 14 June in San Francisco: The Circles of Wisdom. In small group circles, we’ll share with you “What We’ve Found to be True”—the most down-to-earth, practical and useful advice that we’ve gleaned from our careers and life experiences.
Why should you participate? What’s in it for you? Three things at least:
- You’ll come away with valuable advice you can apply to your work, career and professional development.
- You’ll learn from those who have experienced what you are likely experiencing—in a small-group, up-close and personal way.
- You’ll have the chance to listen, question and get advice from those who have been awarded IABC’s highest distinction.
Many years of experience have given the Fellows a framework of what is and is not effective when it comes to career progression, dealing with others, strategy, the communicator’s evolving role, navigating controversial situations, leading, selling your ideas, and bringing who you are to what you do…these are just some of the topics Fellows will share with you.
Here’s our reason for taking this on. The association honored us with the title of “Fellow” and now we want to give back by sharing what we’ve learned through the course of our varied careers. This is our way to “pay it forward.”
We’re grateful to Bayer for sponsoring this wonderful learning opportunity.
The Circles take place 14 June, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fee is just US$200 for members and the conference kicks off right afterwards. Space is limited, so you’ll want to jump on this. You can get more details here. Join us for career counseling, networking and relationship building. There’s no better way to kick-off the World Conference.
I hope to see you there.
Joe Williams, IABC Fellow
