Senior Communication and Marketing Executive
Mary Sedarat is a senior communication and marketing executive with more than two decades of experience advising CEOs at global financial institutions. She spent nearly 20 years at JPMorgan Chase, where she held senior leadership roles across communication and marketing, including serving as chief communication officer for the firm’s JPMorgan Asset Management and Treasury & Securities Services divisions, and as co-chief marketing officer for the Corporate & Investment Bank.
Most recently, Mary spent nine years at MarketAxess, a fintech company incubated at JPMorgan, as a member of the C-Suite. She held the roles of chief experience officer and chief marketing and communication officer, and built the firm’s global marketing and communication functions, helping to position the company from an under the radar trading platform into a globally recognized S&P 500 market-infrastructure leader.
Throughout her career, Mary has specialized in leadership positioning and corporate reputation and stakeholder management, while navigating periods of growth, transformation, and heightened visibility. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin, is based in New York, and serves on the board of The Ziegfeld Club Inc.
