As the world adapts to the new normal and we return to in-person events, the health and well-being of World Conference attendees remains our top priority. By working closely with Marriott Marquis in New York City and Federal, State and Local public health officials, we will incorporate current best practices to provide you with the best level of protection at World Conference 2022 this June.
Our expectation is that we will all practice protocols that reflect a 'spirit of respect and care' for our IABC community throughout the event. IABC will continue to actively monitor local, state, and federal guidelines and we may further adjust our well-being protocols if local conditions change as we get closer to the event.
Here are 3 ways we're protecting your wellness:
- Partnering with Marriott Marquis to maintain their COVID-19 protocols while onsite including access control, protocol signage, sanitizing stations, protective shields at the front desk and reimagined food and beverage stations. Learn more about Marriott International's Commitment to Clean.
- Collaborating with our contractors and the exhibitor and sponsor community to ensure everyone receives training on personal hygiene guidelines and response/recovery protocols related to suspected/confirmed cases of COVID.
- Continuing to seek expert advice on up-to-the-moment health and safety direction from the WHO, the CDC, State and Local public health authorities, and recognized health and safety experts.
Current New York City Mandates/Orders Effecting Marriott Marquis
There are currently no mask or vaccine requirements for New York City. However, the NYC Health Commissioner now advises all New Yorkers to wear a mask in any public indoor setting. IABC strongly encourages all individuals to be vaccinated and wear masks, especially in common areas (for masks) while COVID transmission levels remain high in NYC. For more information, visit the NYC Health website.
Please note that businesses can still choose to require proof of vaccination or require mask use. Mask use onsite at World Conference is encouraged, but will be up to the comfort level of each participant.
International Travel
IABC is staying up to date with travel guidance and recommendations from the CDC. If you are planning to travel internationally, please visit the CDC's page on International Travel During COVID-19 for information related to your travel plans. Please note that as of 12 June, the CDC is no longer requiring negative pre-departure COVID-19 tests prior to your flight to the US.
At World Conference 2022, your health and well-being comes first!
